I am
This is a traditional type of song for bardistry, a sort of an introductory song. Just do the audience knows who they're dealing with.
I have been so many things,
That I cannot remember.
I have been a messenger of the Cross,
The herald of the One God.
I have been the flame and ember,
The book and the bell,
The voice in the wilderness,
The communion and war,
The struggle and joy.
I have been the ever young,
The flower faced, the moonglow,
The ripple of waves,
The star and the cloud,
The priest in a faraway land,
The warrior's sword and shield,
The staff and the spell,
The child of the waters,
The storm and the depth.
I have been the song on the wind,
The bride of the woodland king,
The last embrace before dawn,
The blood on the ground,
The flight of the eagle
The priestess of mirrors and smoke,
The love of the dead
The freedom of rain,
The white feathered falcon.
I have been a scribe and the ink,
The hands locked in prayer,
The fires of the Wheel,
The message and memory,
The window and door,
The gates of the morning,
The portals of night,
The kiss of the traitor,
The breath on the thorns.
I have been a candle of gold in the cold,
The snow and the sand,
The anthem of life,
The hunter and prey.
The feast and the hunger,
The scaffold and tears,
The child and the mother,
The faith and the doubt,
The mourning of soul.
I have been so many a thing, yet I'm here
To herald the gods,
And to welcome the change.
Thanks, Phil:)
Helena, wow! Your voiceover works beautifully, you have done a great job with that! There is nothing like hearing someone who understands, and cares about, what they are reading. Beautifully done!!!
