Misheard.
The truth lies.

There, where you cannot see
Among the roots
In the grass
Under the earth,
Asleep.
The truth sleeps.

In the thorns
In the leaves
Among the flowers
In the moonbeams,
In the trees
The truth hides.

In the hearts
Under lock and key,
In the memories
In whispers.
In the glances
The truth dies.

Sharper than swords,
Colder than ice,
Hotter than fire,
Finer than diamonds,
Brighter than the sun
The truth is.

Under the roses.
In the grapevine.
Climbing with the ivy,
To stand proud and tall,
To shine above
The great and small.

One day
The truth will out,
As the bards sang.
One day
The truth will soar
To rule us all
