The Black Watch
These are my gods. Riders, Kings, lords of the otherworld, hunters, warriors. Gwyn, Nuada, Lugh, Fionn. So alike but yet...a bit different. Also, of course it's the tartan specific and well known.
Dark and foreboding
Are we.
Forever riding
Forever crossing
The frontier.
An Freiceadan Dubh,
An Faire Dubh,
Y Gwarchodlu Du.
The Black Watch
Are we.
Some call us the Hunt,
Some call us the Sluagh
Some - the Fianna,
Some - Aos Si.
The names are just words.
Night skies are ours.
Deep waters give us strength.
Mists cover us.
Winds carry us.
The Black Watch are we.
The Silver-arm,
The Many-skilled,
The Son of Mist,
The Fair One-
Riders among the clouds.
Darkness shields us,
Cliffs shelter us,
Stars light our way,
Storms follow us,
Lords of the Other world.
Black watch are we.
Proud and strong,
Noble and mighty,
Fast and true -
Rulers of the wind.
Guardians of peace,
Guides to the lost,
Protectors to the weak,
Masters to the noble,
Watchmen of souls.
Fear not,
Do not tremble.
Do not cower.
Do not run,
If your slate is clean.
None shall outrun us,
None shall outwit us,
None shall defy us,
Non shall match us
For we are infinite.
Lords of the battle,
Lords of the wind,
Lords of fate,
Lords of the fallen,
Lords of truth.
An Freiceadan Dubh,
An Faire Dubh,
Y Gwarchodlu Du.
The Black Watch
Are we.
