I, for one, greatly enjoy your scribblings and whatnots, which are much to my taste. I find that in between my own research on the holy bloodline, and my writings and paintings and music I need to get input of quality work, which is where you fit snugly, I would say. So glad the divine made me stumble across your writings.
I said it was going to be a nice piece, I'm not disappointed ;)
Looks like we have quite a lot of things in common!
"here, in Koenigsberg"
Wait, you're there ? For some reason I was convinced you were somewhere in the UK !
6 languages, wow ! I guess I could say I have 5, but to be honest this includes the ones I "know" but don't really master (my English full of barbarisms for instance) and the ancient ones which I can't really speak anyways. So, yes, working with 6 is... really impressive !
As my French teacher used to say, vous êtes très gentil, monsieur :) yeah, I'm.stuck here. Five? I suppose, it must be French, English, Latin, Greek...and (wild guess( German or Italian?) Honestly, I have to work with more than that, but there are some often used languages...I've just finished Romanian text for instance;)
You almost got it : French (obviously), English (I don't really have opportunities to speak, but at least I read a lot in English), Spanish (though I forgot lots of things because I don't really practice it).
And for the ancient ones as you say Greek and Latin. I also have some very basic rudiments of Sanskrit, and some years ago I studied a little bit of Gothic (but for this one I forgot everything).
And thanks to French, Latin and Spanish, I'm more or less able to read texts in other Romance languages (Portuguese is the easiest to understand, Italien ok, Romanian is a bit more difficult), even if I certainly wouldn't be able to speak.
I'd be happy to provide an opportunity to speak English:) my French is pretty miserable right now, as I haven't spoken it for years. Reading a bit, but sadly, no speaking. I think I'd be mortified to do that in front of a real French person:)
Ah yes, I'm not surprised about the articles on Academia. We still have some competent medievalists here (at least one thing that is not yet completely falling apart in France :)). My own studies were more in the field of classics, but I'm also interested in Medieval history.
That's what I could remember offhand:)))technically I sort of add them as I go along. I have about 10 unfinished...including Celtic languages and some Norse.

Same for my English :)
What kind of things have you read in French recently ?
I think I read articles on knights on Academia :) and I think, a couple of months ago I started Conclave in French, but got distracted :)

SIX languages??? 😲

Lordy! I struggle with about one and a quarter 🙁 Good for you!
Spanish is wonderful! I wish I had more practice though.
Six is wild.
